The Transformers Generation 2 Comic Guide. Our comic guide begins at the beginning of the Generation 2 storyline only, in other words, at the last few pages of G.I. Joe - Issue 138. It does not concern itself with puny G.I. Joe fanboys, … we mean, anything that happened in the G.I. Joe comic before the introduction of Megatron and Starscream.

The G2 storyline only lasted 12 issues and a few G.I. Joe Issues before the release of the G2 comic. The crossover was nothing more than an over-extended plot device to explain why Megatron had become a tank. The G2 Comic's answer was this : Megatron was rebuilt by Cobra Commander.

The Silent Castle attracts the attention of Megatron and Starscream. Cobra Commander attempts to make a deal.

G.I. Joe - Issue 139
Through a trade with Cobra Commander, Megatron is rebuilt into a tank. His previous form through part of G.I. Joe Issue 139 and the last issue was the traditional handgun Megatron.

G.I. Joe - Issue 140
G.I Joe discovers Megatron and notifies the Autobots on Cybertron

G.I. Joe - Issue 141
Dr. Biggles-Jones is captured by Megatron and Scarlet escapes the hospital to save her.

G.I Joe - Issue 142
A group of Autobots arrive from Cybertron, only to get slaughtered by Megatron.
